AMAROK Adventures
The Amarok appears to glow in the evening light - on the Canal Latéral à la Loire.

We formed our partnership and bought the Amarok
in May of 2011. We started our adventures on the
Canal de Garonne in the south of France, the boat
was originally based in the lovely town of Moissac.
We planned to change the name to Accord, but we
never got around to it. For that reason, our early blog
pages are entitled "À BORD d'ACCORD". However,
we gradually became accustomed to the name and
decided to keep AMAROK - which turns out to be a
mythical Inuit wolf-like creature, thus our bow
pennant with a wolf howling at the moon.
The four stars represent the four partners.

This Partnership has allowed Nancy and I to enjoy cruising the French inland waterways in
style and luxury at a fraction of the cost of sole ownership. It has also allowed us to share
the responsibilities and decision-making process with a great group of like minded partners.
Unless you're in a position to spend a large amount of time cruising abroad, this arrangement
makes a lot of sense. It has certainly worked well for us!
Also, keep in mind that all you see above represents only one-quarter of the adventures
of the AMAROK in the last four years! Our Log Book on board reflects all the travels of the
boat. There is also a European Waterways Map posted on the buklhead in the salon on
which each partner has highlighted his route aboard the AMAROK.
